The Bold and the Beautiful News Update: B&B Stops Filming After One Day - Here’s Why and For How LongCBS The Bold and the Beautiful just restarted production on Wednesday, June 17. However, just after one day, the filming has come to a stop again. What is the reason and when will filming resume? Don’t worry, there is a very good reason for the short-term interruption.

Soap First To Resume Production

B&B is the first American soap to go back to work after the coronavirus pandemic shut down production in March. Fans were thrilled that the actors were back to work. It was even better news that they planned on having new episodes air in early to mid-July. This is impressive considering the new safety protocols will slow production and increase costs.

B&B Stops Filming After Just One Day

However, Variety reports that after just one day back at work, filming has been stopped once again. A spokesperson for the CBS soap opera explained that the interruption will be “very brief.” Initially, the plan was for the soap to film three days this week. However, COVID has forced us to learn to expect the unexpected.

Large Volume Of COVID Testing

The Bold and the Beautiful paused filming to modify the COVID testing protocol and to deal with a huge amount of testing on the cast and crew.

“We have paused very briefly to modify our testing protocol to better accommodate the large volume of testing needed. Safety remains our top priority as we continue to move forward with the production of the show. B&B filmed with cast and crew today and it was a successful first day back at work.”

Previously, executive producer and head writer Bradley Bell told The Hollywood Reporter that testing would be at least weekly. He then added that it could be multiple times a week. Bell stated that all production personnel would be tested each Monday and they would film from Tuesday through Friday.

When Will The Bold and the Beautiful Film Again?

While the soap calls the production pause “very brief,” just how long will it be this time? There are no guarantees and a lot of factors could change this. However, the publication reported that filming is “expected” to start again on Tuesday, June 23. We will keep you updated with new developments and updated information as it becomes available.

      from what i have been reading on the stories coming up..it is still boring boring boring boring..still then hogans front and center,,and it is all stupid..come on now..the show was based on FORRESTER CREATIONS FASHIONS..fashion shows-fashion wars and their families..not them SFTV’s..stupid…get real and back to the meaning of the whole show..really not worth watching no more..strayed to far from THE FORRESTERS top and front and center..i am not a fan of the logans..they ruin the show..my opinion

      I’m with Orangeflower. The Logan Show has got to go!!! More Forresters, less Logans, especially Brooke!!!! Have a Ridge, Taylor, Steffy, Thomas, Kelly & Douglas major storyline!!

      First, the entire Logan family is part of The Bold and the Beautiful and has been since the VERY first show. Every soap has core families that they build on over the years. It’s been the Forresters and the Logans (and the Spencer family was also part of the show from it’s inception). STOP watching the show if you can’t handle a soap opera family that you dislike. The Logans are not going anywhere!
