The Bold And The Beautiful News Update: Bradley Bell Talks Incredible Twists, Current Events, And New Characters Teased

CBS The Bold and the Beautiful fans are looking forward to new episodes returning to the air. In the meantime, the cast and crew just returned to work. Head writer/executive producer Bradley Bell mentioned that they are working on some big storylines and fans can expect “incredible twists.” He also hinted at what to expect in future episodes.

The Bold And The Beautiful Updates – Current Events Integrated Into Storylines

A lot of fans have been wondering if current events, such as the pandemic, Black Lives Matter movement, and police brutality will be woven into the storylines. When Bell spoke to SoapCentral, he confirmed that the scripts have definitely impacted the stories we will see on our television screens.

The head writer and executive producer explained that not only will we see the impact that current events have on the stories, but expect “incredible twists.” He didn’t happen to mention which storylines he was referring to. There are currently several that were left on cliffhangers due to the quarantine. So, it should be interesting to see what kind of future our favorite characters have when new episodes air.

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – New Characters Confirmed

The Bold and the Beautiful will also introduce new characters and Bell said it in the plural. So, it looks like Steffy Forrester’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) won’t be the only new face. There is no word on how many new characters will join the cast if they will be temporary or long-term, or which storylines (besides Steffy) they will impact. But fresh blood on the show is always exciting!

B&B Spoilers – Bradley Bell Shares More Teasers

Bell said that the storylines will have a new “clarity” due to them having the time to refine the scripts. They had the chance to really dive deep into each scenario and they have also been hearing fans loud and clear. He also was asked about viewers wanting to see the Avant family back. When responding if this is a possibility in the future, Bell said “absolutely.”

“I love all of the actors in the Avant family — Anna Maria Horsford (Vivienne Avant), Obba Babatundé (Julius Avant), and Karla Mosley (Maya Avant), all of them. And I also really enjoyed having the Buckingham family front and center last year. It was great to have Kiara Barnes join the cast [as Zoe Buckingham] and to have Wayne Brady playing her father [Reese Buckingham]. He has another job, so he can’t be on the show as much as we’d like, but together, they were instrumental in pulling off the story [that won the Emmy].”
