The Bold And The Beautiful Star John McCook Shares His Concerns For The Entertainment Industry
The longtime B&B actor shared a post on his Instagram account urging fans to put their masks on, wash their hands, and practice social distancing as much as possible. The more everyone does to help curb the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus, the quicker many people from the entertainment industry can go back to work.
John’s reposted message said, “Broadway is closed until 2021. Cirque du Soleil is filing for bankruptcy and cut 3,500 jobs. Feld Entertainment laid off 90 percent of its workforce permanently. Cruise ship entertainers are out of work. Theme park productions have no idea when they will be recalled. There are no concerns or touring productions. Performing arts organizations of all kinds – choirs, theaters, orchestras, dance companies – are all trying to figure out on a daily basis how to keep going and employ anyone they can in the field.”

The post also said, “So when you see your entertainment friends begging you to wear your masks and stay home, understand that we are helplessly watching our industry crumble before our eyes because the country is going so poorly at reducing the spread. This is personal for us.”
Of course, it didn’t take very long for John’s social media followers to respond to the post, with most of them agreeing with what was said. Some comments included, “It’s not very hard. If we can all just wear a mask we can pull through this together,” along with, “This is incredibly sad because things might never return to the way it was once before. However, we can be considerate of one another and keep our masks on. Life has to go on, but just take the proper precautions.”
