The Man From Toronto: Movie Cast

B&B alum Pierson is joining the cast of The Man From Toronto. The upcoming movie originally starred Jason Statham, but he walked away from the film last year. They replaced him with Zombieland and The People vs. Larry Flynt star Woody Harrelson. Comedian Kevin Hart (Scary Movie 3 and Little Fockers) is attached to the project, as well as Kaley Cuoco. You recognize her from The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon, and Charmed.

The soap alum wrote on Instagram, “10 years… 10 damn challenging years. Sleepless nights. Sacrifice after sacrifice. This isn’t a humblebrag. This is a proud moment. I’m treating myself to something fancy like a ‘pair of “new boots”. Most importantly I’m going to work harder than ever to solidify my dreams.”

According to Variety, The Man From Toronto centers on two men who are mistaken for each other. One is the world’s deadliest assassin, who is dubbed “The Man From Toronto.” The other is Teddy, who just happens to be New York’s biggest screw-up. The mistaken identity crisis takes place while the men are at an Airbnb rental. They are forced to work together and save the day.

The script was written by Robbie Fox and Chris Bremmer based off of Jason Blumenthal’s story. Blumenthal is producer, along with Todd Black and Steve Tisch. Patrick Hughes will be director, who also worked on The Hitman’s Bodyguard. The movie’s release date is September 17, 2021.
