As B&B fans recall, Thomas threatened Zoe, along with Flo Fulton (Katrina Bowden), Xander Avant (Adain Bradley), and for a very brief time, Emma Barber (Nia Sioux). The pressure Atkinson’s character applied came after he learned that Beth Spencer (Madeline Valdez and River Davidson) was alive.

Xander eventually decided he couldn’t deal with all that happened and broke up with Zoe. So the person, Thomas, who helped to cause that ending is now someone who she has romantic feelings for? A review of the history of Barnes’ character serves as a reminder that she shares a similar, unwanted trait with Atkinson’s alter ego.

Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Xander Avant Was Tracked To The United States

Viewers were introduced to Barnes last year. She instantly proved to have the type of chops that enabled her to develop a vulnerable and unpredictable character. Full kudos to Barnes and to B&B’s writing staff in this regard.

Zoe is believable as someone who became obsessed with Xander, opting to follow him from England to the United States. However, the revelation that she had a deceased cat didn’t turn her into a one-dimensional figure. Instead, Zoe became a sympathetic figure, as she struggled to handle what her father, Reese Buckingham (Wayne Brady) did.

Xander’s choice to again end their relationship was handled off-screen, with Zoe unexpectedly reappearing in the hallway outside of Vincent Walker’s (Joe LoCicero) apartment awhile later. She told Thomas that was a coincidence.

Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) took note of the irony, but in a way that is different than what viewer’s were considering. He knew that Zoe didn’t just happen to be living in the apartment where Thomas’ friend was believed to be.

However, Liam, along with Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), weren’t thinking that Zoe might be targeting Thomas as part of an overall revenge plan. Liam thought Thomas orchestrated everything and then managed to get Zoe to agree to work as a spy.

She’ll hopefully be reporting back any suspicious activities Thomas may be engaged in while she restarts her modeling career at Forrester Creations. Steffy is grudgingly connected to this ruse, but really has no use for Reese’s daughter.

Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Thomas Forrester’s Actions Backfire

The above could simply prove to be speculation. Maybe Zoe did just happen to be staying at a friend’s apartment that was across from Vinny’s. It’s also possible that she didn’t blame Thomas for threatening her, or for being part of the break with Xander.

As this next part of the developing storyline plays out, Zoe might actually believe that Thomas wants to have a relationship with her. But fans know he doesn’t, which will surely spark a response from Zoe when that’s learned.
