Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) famously played the hero on ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’. Samiri’s character became the character who served to end an extended arc where Beth Spencer’s (Madeline Valdez and River Davidson) identity was revealed.
Now, as his father, Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson), is involved in another scheme, Douglas could be in the early stages of a sequel rebellion. That plot point fuels natural speculation that makes B&B’s fans wonder if a similar scenario is about to play out, with Douglas saving the day again?
Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Hope Logan Still Central To The Storyline
Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle), which was her last name at the time, had no idea that Phoebe Forrester (Madeline Valdez and River Davidson in a faux dual role) was her child. Like Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton), Hope believed what Dr. Reese Buckingham (Wayne Brady) told ‘Lope’ on Catalina Island.
But Beth hadn’t died in childbirth. Instead she was kidnapped by Reese, who believed selling her through the underground market would help him to pay off his bookie, who’d been threatening his own daughter’s (Zoe Buckingham, as played by Kiara Barnes) life.
Months after Douglas refused to go along with his father’s request that he not mention Phoebe was Beth, Samiri’s alter ego is being used as an emotional weapon to try and force Hope into remarrying Thomas.
Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Zoe Buckingham’s Acceptance Turns Spotlight On
Zoe’s acceptance of Thomas’ orchestrated marriage proposal at the Forrester family’s luxurious compound pushes the overall arc further. Instead of unknowingly being used like a prop by Thomas to gauge Hope’s jealously level, if there is one, Zoe has agreed to become the next Mrs. Forrester.
Choosing to be a central part of Thomas’ life means that Zoe will be around him on a regular basis. That’s sure to create awkwardness with Douglas and a need to build a different type of connection with Hope.
By being near to Atkinson’s character, Zoe is bound to pick up on his lasting obsession with Hope. Barnes’ character might dismiss his demeanor as remnants of past feelings at first. But in time Zoe’s bound to expect that Thomas act like any intended husband should.
Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Thomas Forrester Goes Too Far
Reflecting on the time since Atkinson became the recast of this character, he’s lost Hope to Liam, following ‘Thope’s’ marriage ending within days after the nuptials.
Thomas was later accidentally pushed off a cliff in Steffy Forrester’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) backyard by Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) and was later accidentally pushed by Hope into a vat, which was was initially believed to be filled with hydrofluoric acid.
Brooke and Liam remain deeply concerned about Thomas’ ability to endanger their loved ones. But Zoe will, in all likelihood, soon gain knowledge that will make her a different type of threat. Might Douglas come to see her as an enemy, or an ally in changing his father’s mind about what family should exist?
