The Bold And The Beautiful Recap Friday, August 9: Police Tip, Katie Warns Bill, Poppy’s Killer Interruption

The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Friday, August 9, 2024, is finally here! Katie Logan (Heather Tom) made a call to the police. Katie also warned Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) that he’s in love with a killer.

On today’s episode, Penelope “Poppy” Nozawa (Romy Park) tried to get Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada) to believe her story about Tom Starr’s (Clint Howard) backpack. Keep reading to find out what happened in the CBS soap opera.

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers –  Il Giardino Deaths

B&B recap for Friday, August 9 reveal that at Il Giardino, Sheila Carter Sharpe (Kimberlin Brown) gives Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) a massage. Deacon tells Sheila that Kati is asking questions about Penelope “Poppy” Nozawa (Romy Park).

Katie is also suspicious about Tom and Paul “Hollis” Hollister’s (Hollis W. Chambers) deaths. Sheila says that there could be answers in Tom’s backpack. Sheila goes over telling Hollis to throw away the backpack and now she regrets it. 

Over with Ridge “RJ” Forrester, Jr. (Joshua Hoffman), he tells Katie about Luna’s backpack discovery. RJ also explains that Poppy and Tom met the night of the overdose.

RJ also spills that Poppy told Luna she would take matters into her own hands regarding Tom. RJ thinks they need to find some proof. Katie is convinced this was no accident.

Sheila and Deacon come from the back storage area. As they go to the front of the restaurant, RJ takes off. Sheila tells Katie that Hollis wanted her to look inside Tom’s backpack before he died.

Although Tom had a history of addiction, he was sober at Il Giardino. Sheila assumes they will never know since the backpack is in a landfill now.

Sheila and Deacon return to their job duties. As soon as they are out of earshot, Katie pulls out her phone to call Deputy Chief Bradley Baker (Dan Martin). 

Poppy returns to the apartment. Luna demands to know how Tom’s backpack got there. Poppy keeps claiming she’s not a murderer.

Poppy maintains that she has no clue how the backpack got into their apartment. Luna reasons that whoever put the backpack there must be responsible for the two deaths.

Even though Poppy’s story has holes, Luna says she believes her.  After a hug, Poppy declares that their past is being knocked down and the Spencer family is their future.

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers –  Spencer Distracted

The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Friday, August 9 reveals that at the Spencer mansion, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) can tell Bill is distracted. Bill confesses he is concerned about Poppy.

Bill can sense that something is bothering Poppy. Bill doesn’t understand why Poppy won’t tell him what’s wrong. Liam is sure everything will be fine. Bill wants all three of his sons to accept Luna.

Later, Katie meets with Bill. Katie tells him everything she knows. Bill is doubtful but listens to Poppy’s history with Tom, the magical mints, the letters as well as the confrontation on the night of the death.

Katie is certain that Poppy just wants Bill’s money. Bill finds Katie’s concerns “strange.” Just as Katie tells Bill that he’s sleeping with a killer, Poppy shows up. Oh boy, this will be a brutal confrontation when the story picks back up next week!
