The Bold And The Beautiful Recap Friday, March 13: Zoe Calls Off Wedding- Douglas Breaks Thomas’ Heart

The Friday, March 13, 2020, The Bold & the Beautiful opens as Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) asks Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) to forsake all others for Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes). Thomas sweats bullets, hoping that Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) will make the choice for him. Before Thomas can say “I do”, Hope and Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) stop the wedding. Thomas thrills when Hope says that she can’t let Thomas marry Zoe. He’s stunned that Hope is wearing the wedding gown he claimed to have designed for Hope for the Future.

Zoe begs Thomas not to leave her at the altar. Thomas has a choice to make: Zoe or Hope. Thomas chooses the mother of his child. Zoe slaps Thomas. She doesn’t want to hear his excuses. Thomas says that Hope has made him the happiest man in the world. He has never stopped loving her. He tries to take her in his arms, but Hope pushes him away.

Hope says that the only reason she’s wearing the gown is to expose him. Hope knows that Thomas has been preying upon his son’s fears to manipulate Hope. She knows about the kiss he rigged with Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).

B&B Spoilers– Zoe Buckingham Calls Off Wedding

Thomas turns to Zoe, but she refuses to marry him. She can’t believe how quickly Thomas threw her away to marry Hope. Zoe knew about Hope’s plan to expose Thomas. She thanks Hope for saving her from Thomas. She actually loved him and believed he wanted to spend his life with her. Zoe is disgusted with Thomas for using her and his son to get to Hope. Thomas backpedals, promising Zoe that they can move past this. Zoe says that she will never be someone’s consolation prize.

Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) grumbles about Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) having to put up with the dressmaker and his degenerate son for all these years. Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) laments that Thomas has gotten in between Brooke and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and between Hope and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton). Wyatt says that Thomas is Zoe’s problem now. Bill says that anyone naïve enough to marry Thomas deserves him. He doesn’t believe the wedding will happen.

Bill appreciates that Hope stepped up for Douglas but no one could replace his real mother. Bill wants to protect Douglas from his maniac father.

Ridge interrupts when Thomas starts to blast his sister for squealing on him. Thomas accuses his wedding guests of manipulating him. He says that everything he did was for his son. He was fulfilling Douglas’ dream of Thomas and Hope being a family. Thomas is humiliated that his entire family tricked him.

Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers– Douglas Forrester Crushes His Dad

Hope says that she explained to Douglas why she couldn’t marry Thomas and why she had to expose him. Douglas knew what Hope was doing and didn’t tell Thomas. Douglas tells Daddy that it was bad of him to ask him to beg his mommy to marry Thomas. It was bad of Thomas to make Douglas feel like he was going to lose another mommy. Liam pops up and demands that Thomas stop treating his son like a fishing lure. Liam says that he will never stop protecting Douglas and Hope from Thomas.

Brooke tells Thomas that it’s time to take some accountability. She admits to feeling guilty that she couldn’t trust Ridge’s son. She’s proud of Zoe and Hope for fighting back and bringing an evil man down. Ridge apologizes for not listening to Brooke’s concerns about Thomas. Eric Forrester (McCook) is deeply disappointed in his grandson.

Douglas devastates Thomas when he says that he’s happiest with Hope, Liam, and his baby sister, not Thomas. Thomas can’t live without his son or without Ridge’s support. Ridge wants the best for his son but is angry that Thomas played him, Zoe, and Douglas. Thomas cries as his father admonishes him for hurting people. Ridge turns away from Thomas and embraces Brooke.

Hope wonders if Thomas’ tears are real. Hope says that Thomas doesn’t know how to love. She will raise Douglas with patience and kindness in a loving, nurturing home. Thomas doesn’t deserve Hope or Douglas and he will never have either of them. Thomas runs out in shame.

Liam picks up Douglas who is happy that he has Liam and Hope now.
