The Bold And The Beautiful Recap & Spoilers Monday August 17: Ridge Confesses To Steffy, Eric Comforts Brooke

The Monday, August 17, 2020, The Bold & the Beautiful opens with Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) dropping by the cliff house to see his daughter and granddaughter. He notices Steffy Forrester’s discomfort (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), but has problems of his own. He gives her incredible news: He made a life-changing mistake after Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) betrayed him. After all the obstacles they’ve overcome, his marriage to Brooke is over.

He tells Steffy that he got drunk and married Shauna Forrester (Denise Richards). He has no memory of marrying her or asking his lawyer to file the divorce papers. He’s kicking himself for losing control. He should have stayed in Los Angeles and worked things out with Brooke. Ridge doesn’t blame Shauna. She’s been a good friend to him.

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – This Mess Is Fixable

Next on today’s The Bold and the Beautiful episode, Steffy assures her father that his mess is fixable. She warns Ridge that Shauna has deep feelings for him and thought he wanted to be with her.

Shauna wonders if she’s kidding herself thinking she’ll ever spend the night with Ridge. Shauna thanks Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer) for reminding her how much Ridge appreciates her. She can’t wait to wake up in that home next to Ridge as his wife. Shauna still feels guilty for tricking Ridge and fears that Ridge will find out.

Quinn warns her that, if she blabs the truth, Quinn and Shauna will both lose their husbands. Shauna set Ridge free from a toxic relationship. Brooke brought the break-up on herself. Shauna won’t betray Ridge like Brooke always does.

B&B Spoilers – Brooke Logan Avoiding Ridge Forrester

Eric Forrester (John McCook) notices that Brooke is avoiding Ridge at Forrester Creations. The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers show Eric gives Brooke his condolences about Ridge’s other wife. Brooke is still in shock that Ridge divorced her to marry Shauna. How could Ridge do something like that to her? Eric can’t understand it either.

Eric says Ridge was stunned to learn what happened and regrets his decision. Eric says that Ridge doesn’t remember filing the papers. As long as they love each other, they’ll get through it.

Eric believes that, no matter what happened in Las Vegas, Brooke is the woman Ridge wants to spend his life with.

Quinn finds Brooke at the office and offers her sympathies. Brooke demands to know how Shauna convinced Ridge to file the divorce papers and marry Shauna. Brooke has suspicions about the sham marriage. Quinn says that, if Brooke really loves Ridge, she’ll let him go so he can be happy. Quinn says that Ridge made a decision to marry Shauna and leave Brooke. Their grand love affair is finally over. Ridge is moving on with Shauna and there’s nothing Brooke can do about it.
