‘The Bold And The Beautiful’ Recap Thursday, January 8: Taylor Explains, Deke’s Pressure, Carter’s Plea

The Bold and the Beautiful recap is finally in for Thursday, January 8, 2026. In today’s episode, Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig) tries to explain things.

Deke Sharpe (Harrison Cone) puts Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) under pressure. Plus, Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) tries to get Daphne Rose (Murielle Hilaire) to stay in Los Angeles.

Steffy Forrester Finnegan’s Interrogation

Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) rants at her mother about seeing and hearing her with Deacon. The brunette straight up asks Taylor if she’s involved with Deacon. (Make sure to check out our WEEKLY B&B spoilers, here!)

Taylor tries to cover, but Steffy keeps firing off questions. Steffy heard Taylor with Deacon. Taylor’s face says it all.

Steffy is glad that she wants to move on from Ridge, but Deacon is married! Not only is he married, but to lunatic Sheila Carter Sharpe (Kimberlin Brown)!

Taylor says Steffy has the wrong idea. Steffy knows what she saw and what she heard. This isn’t like her mother! Taylor just says it’s complicated.

Steffy brings up Sheila coming after their family. Taylor says she can’t think about Deacon like that, but there is just something about him! Taylor thinks Deacon is such a remarkable man!

As Taylor gushes about Deacon, Steffy’s face turns white. Her mother has already fallen for him! Taylor insists it’s not like that, she just admires Deacon.

Taylor says they just talk and Deacon actually listens to her. “Deacon sees me!” Steffy tells her to knock it off! Steffy says it will just take one thing to cause Sheila to snap, and this could be it!

Steffy urges her mother to find someone other than Deacon. Taylor admits her daughter is right.

Deacon Sharpe Distracted

At Il Giardino, Deacon tries to work but flashes back to Taylor. The man remembers realizing that a relationship can’t happen because Taylor is his therapist. Deacon fondled her hair.

Deke interrupts Deacon’s recall. Deke asks about bubbly. Deacon tries to hand him the wrong one. Deke pushes to find out what is on his father’s mind, but Deacon claims he’s just thinking about his son’s future.

Deke says he had a good talk with Katie Logan Spencer (Heather Tom) but we’ll see where that goes. Deacon has a good feeling, but Deke doesn’t want to get his hopes up.

Deke pushes Deacon to open up. Deacon loves Sheila and made a commitment. Deke finishes for his dad, but he’s having second thoughts. Deacon describes how amazing Taylor is without naming her. Deke asks if he knows this woman.

Deacon gushes about how incredible this woman is! Deke says that Deacon didn’t get so far by being with Sheila, he got this far DESPITE her.

Deke says most of the employees can’t stand to be around Sheila. This stuns Deacon. Deke says the customers talk about Sheila, too. Deke thinks Taylor is way better than Sheila.

Ridge Forrester’s Hope

At Forrester Creations, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) sketches. Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) comes in and interrupts him.

It seems like Ridge was looking for a welcome distraction. Brooke is looking for Carter. The blonde needs the COO to look over some contracts. Ridge explains where Carter is right now.

Brooke asks some questions about Daphne’s plans. Ridge hopes Carter can change Daphne’s mind. They discuss Carter’s long list of failed romances.

Carter Walton’s Plea

Carter tells Daphne that the time is finally right for them. Daphne’s purse is bigger than she is. It could swallow her alive! Back to the dialogue, Carter begs her not to walk away from their romance.

The Nose will always remember what they shared. Daphne never wanted to hurt him. In fact, she’s trying not to hurt him more than she already has.

Daphne insists this is what is best. The brunette says her home is in Paris, but she’s enjoyed every minute of her time with Carter.

Carter says home can expand and include more places and more people. Home can be in L.A., the COO says. Daphne isn’t really explaining why she’s leaving.

She just keeps talking about how they have memories of their good times together. Daphne doesn’t need a relationship to fulfill her.

Carter says he DOES need Daphne. Carter talks about the first time he smelled Daphne. The COO won’t lose Daphne!

As Carter leans in to hold her, Daphne says he’s not losing her. Carter doesn’t care about the business, he cares about Daphne. Carter urges her to stay and see how great they are together. They fall into a passionate kiss.
