The Bold and the Beautiful Recap Tuesday August 18: Thomas Freaks Out, Shauna’s Guilt Grows

On Tuesday, August 18, 2020, The Bold & the Beautiful, Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) is dumbfounded when Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) informs him that their father married Shauna Fulton (Denise Richards). Nobody saw it coming.

Thomas suspects Shauna is trying to pull a fast one on their old man. Steffy says all the I’s are dotted and the T’s are cross—the marriage is legal. Steffy is surprised that Thomas isn’t ecstatic over the marriage. His relationship with Brooke is complicated, but he loves his dad and wants him to be happy, whoever he’s with.

Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) disappoints his father. Eric Forrester (John McCook) is upset that Ridge hurt Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) again. Eric believes that Ridge will be in love with Brooke for the rest of his life, regardless of who he’s married to.

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Shauna Forrester In Love

Eric says that Shauna is in love with Ridge. Ridge is reluctant to hurt Shauna and regrets getting drunk and tanking his marriage. He vows not to give up until he gets Brooke back again. He’s miserable without her. Brooke has always been the one for him. He needs to be honest and win her trust back. Ridge asks for his father’s advice.

Eric says that he assured Brooke that Ridge wouldn’t stop loving her. Ridge beats himself up for his behavior. Why does he sabotage himself over and over? What kind of man divorces his wife and marries another woman on the same night?

B&B Spoilers – Shauna Forrester Will Give Everything To Ridge Forrester

Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer) rubs Brooke’s face in it. Shauna Forrester will give Ridge everything Brooke couldn’t. Brooke brought it on herself by treating Ridge like a sidepiece. She’s no longer Ridge’s destiny or his wife.

Brooke argues that she and Ridge share something he and Shauna will never have—years of history. Quinn says most of that history was painful. Ridge’s future is with Shauna.

Brooke questions what part Quinn played in the quickie marriage. She’s convinced that Shauna manipulated Ridge. The truth will come out. Ridge loves her and always will.

Shauna interrupts the feud. Quinn says that Shauna won Ridge fair and square. The break-up/make-up cycle for Ridge and Brooke is finally over. Shauna will not embarrass and humiliate Ridge as Brooke has.

When Brooke leaves, Shauna reverts to Debbie Downer mode. She regrets the way the wedding happened and feels guilty for manipulating him. She had Ridge’s lawyer file the divorce papers, not Ridge. Ridge was completely out of it at the ceremony. Quinn says that all they did was give Ridge a little nudge in the right direction. Soon, Brooke will be a forgotten footnote in Ridge’s life. Everything will fall into place.

Thomas freaks out when he realizes how much pain his sister is in and her OTC pain medicine isn’t working. He realizes that she’s also hurting over the life that she lost with Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton). The reality is that she hasn’t moved on from Liam, because she can’t.

Steffy says that just because Liam is her daughter’s father doesn’t mean that she still wants him. Thomas doesn’t believe it when Stephanie protests that she’s let it go. Steffy has a pain spasm and bursts into tears.

Brooke sits on the couch at home, dreaming about the moment Ridge gave her Stephanie Forrester’s (Susan Flannery) ring and told her that Stephanie wanted her to be the matriarch of the family. Ridge comes to plead his case with Brooke.

Brooke asks him to leave. Ridge refuses to leave and to give up on them. Brooke doesn’t want to hear it when Ridge says that he made a terrible mistake. What hurts the most is how quickly he filed the divorce papers. Ridge is frustrated that he can’t remember the ceremony or asking his lawyer to file.

Ridge tries to undo his mistakes. He asked Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) to draw up annulment papers. He doesn’t want to be married to anyone but Brooke. He asks her not to give up on them or their relationship.
