The Bold and the Beautiful Recap Wednesday, September 16: Explodes At Carter, Daphne Gets Duped & Finn Left In The Dark

The Bold and the Beautiful recap is in for Wednesday, September 16, 2026. In today’s episode, Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) gives an answer to the surrogacy question. Steffy does NOT say yes in this recap. She firmly rejects Carter’s plan.

That leads to Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) and it does not stop Carter from taking his wild plan straight to Daphne Rose Walton (Murielle Hilaire) anyway.

Steffy Rejects Carter’s Wild Baby Scheme

At the cliff house, Carter continues making his case to Steffy. They won’t have to tell anyone about what happened if she goes along with the plan. Steffy says they can’t keep lying to everyone.

The COO reasons that they already are. Steffy thinks this is all crazy! Carter is serious. 

Steffy insists they need to come clean. Carter says they won’t understand. The brunette claims that his crazy idea won’t work.

By the time they convince Daphne and John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan), Steffy would be too far along. That’s why they need to do this now, the man says. 

The lady can’t lie to Finn for the rest of her life! Carter is also asking her to give up the baby she’s carrying.

Carter suggests Steffy can be the baby’s godmother. Steffy says no.

This is the only way to save both of their families, he claims. Can she just not think of the baby as hers?

Steffy won’t do it, none of this makes any sense, and he’s crazy, she declares!

Doesn’t Carter remember how hard it was for her to give up Beth Spencer (Jordyn Grace)? How dare he tell her to just “adjust.”

Carter tries to smooth things over, but Steffy is mad and crying. The man says they would be granting Daphne a miracle.

Steffy says she can’t make the lie worse by lying even more. Steffy suggests he find another surrogate and fix his marriage.

Daphne Wants A Surrogate She Can Trust

Carter exits and Steffy falls into the chair. At FC, Daphne talks about the surrogacy process with Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig) and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye).

The Nose wishes it was someone she knew and trusted. Taylor knows surrogates have to go through very long processes just to get approved

. Ridge thinks the only thing that matters is that Daphne gets a baby. It still hurts, The Nose admits. The baby will be part Carter and part stranger. 

Daphne is so thankful to have Steffy in her life.

Finn Worries About Steffy

At the hospital, Finn vents to Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda). He should be home with his wife. Steffy is still having a hard time with the events that happened in Monaco. Li is positive that SINN will overcome this latest hurdle. 

Finn gets a call as Li gets an email. Li’s email is from Daphne about a surrogate. Finn and Li are glad the couple has worked things out. 

Carter Drops His Steffy Bombshell

Carter stops by the design office. Daphne can already feel the glow. A  baby is on the way for them! She admits wishing the surrogate could be someone they knew. Carter says that could happen. Why not Steffy, he suggests?
