The daytime soap was able to captivate 3.62 million viewers, which is its largest audience in 11 months, Nielsen ratings showed. The last time it hit a high number was during its anniversary.
“The Bold and the Beautiful” also achieved a season high among women viewers aged 25 to 54.
The impressive ratings performance is largely attributed to the current baby storyline that has put Liam (Scott Clifton) and Hope (Annika Noelle) in great pain. Baby storylines traditionally perform well, and the same thing goes well with the baby Phoebe-baby Beth arc on B&B.
Liam and Hope were made to believe that their baby Beth did not survive her birth, but she was actually swapped by Dr. Reese (Wayne Brady) and sold to Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). Dr. Reese sought Flo’s (Katrina Bowden) help to pretend that she’s the original mother so Steffy’s adoption of the baby would proceed and Dr. Reese could pay his gambling debts.
But Dr. Reese’s daughter, Zoe (Kiara Barnes), started digging for the truth when she realizes that there’s something wrong about her father’s sudden decision to move back to London. She met Flo and later on, she was able to make her confess the truth about baby Beth, who is now baby Phoebe under Steffy’s care.

Zoe planned to reveal the truth to Hope and Steffy. She first went to Steffy, but she had a change of heart at the last minute. In the end, she chose to keep the secret to herself to protect her father from going to prison.
Now, the pain of losing Beth has prompted Hope to push Liam to get back together to Steffy. She believes that she’s taking him away from the family he already has with Steffy, so she returns her wedding ring to Liam. Liam now struggles to save his marriage.
