It was mere days before his health update that Kanan posted a beautiful video on Instagram talking about his battle with addiction and sobriety in hopes that he could be an inspiration to others who were dealing with the same issue.
Then, the other shoe dropped. About a week or so later, Kanan uploaded a photo in front of Providence St. John’s health center.
The actor added the following caption, “After a challenging six days, including spinal surgery to eradicate a blood infection, I’m leaving the hospital.”
He thanked the medical staff and doctors at Providence before saying, “Life is precious. Now it’s time to make a movie! #FinalJudgement.”
The bad news is that Kanan endured quite a health scare; however, the good news is that he seems well on the mend and ready to head back to work on the film he and his wife, Michele Kanan, are spearheading.
