CBS The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers tease that an explosive plot could be in the works on the CBS sudser and it may be one that riles up fans. According to our inside CBS source, showrunners want Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) and Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) to be reunited.

This would mean the dubious dad would have his son back to raise, and in the past, he has shown himself to be woefully inept as a parent.

According to our source, executive producer and head writer Bill Bell has a plan to bring the father and son back together. Right now Douglas is living with Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and Hope Logan (Annika Noelle).

This is because of Thomas’ egregious past behavior, so is it really a good idea to let him have custody again?

Hope is Douglas’ custodial mom and in the past, there has been much bad blood between Hope and Thomas. So if there is a change in custody, there must be a blockbuster plot brewing.

B&B Spoilers – Will Thomas Regain Custody Of Douglas Forrester?

Douglas is happy with Lope and his little sister. He is a terrific big brother and it would take a lot to get him to the point where he wants to leave his happy family and return to the dad that used him in the past. Stranger things have happened, so it’s completely feasible that Thomas wins in the end.

He has just returned to town after being away from becoming a better man, according to him. Regaining his son will show if his words are true or not.

The show seems intent on redeeming Thomas from the scoundrel he once was. He has been an attentive brother to Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), returning to help her after her serious motorcycle accident.

Thus far he has been on hand to help her as she battles her pain issues, but he also unknowingly handed her some illicit pain meds. The pill bottle was in a box that he delivered from his drug pusher friend, and Thomas was none the wiser.
