Bill wanted to believe Luna had a bad childhood and needed a second chance. He related to her story. However, Luna played him, using his kindness to double-down on her beef with Steffy.
The Hospital Calls Bill To See His Son
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers state that Bill receives a call from the hospital, stating Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) had been shot and was in critical condition.
Bill rushes to the hospital, and gathers in the waiting room with Steffy, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye), and possibly John ‘Finn’ Finnegan (Tanner Novlan).
Bill learns Luna shot Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) in the foot, before firing the gun at Liam. Steffy informs him that Liam shot Luna to protect her from that “crazy lunatic.” Bill isn’t sure what to think about the situation. He feels responsible for campaigning for her release.

B&B spoilers state that Steffy and Ridge don’t think it is a good idea for him to be there. Steffy doesn’t think Liam wants to see his dad. However, Bill doesn’t care what they think or want; his son is in surgery, and he won’t leave until he knows he is going to make it.
Bill Goes Rogue
As Bill often does, the Luna situation causes him to withdraw from his family. The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers suggests that Luna will not survive her gunshot wound, making Bill even more angry. He caused this whole ordeal by getting Luna released from prison.
If Luna does survive, Bill will be on a warpath. It was one thing to target Steffy, and those two men, but his family. That will never happen again.
It is possible Liam won’t survive his injuries. That would create a huge storyline for Bill as he deals with his guilt and plotting revenge on Luna.

As a bonus, Dollar Bill will also learn about his son’s brain tumor diagnosis. It will be a double whammy for him.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say that regardless of the outcome and who survives Luna’s rampage, Bill will take action to ensure his family remains safe from Luna’s grasp.
