The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers: Bill’s Long Con, Is He Actually Doing This To Protect His Loved Ones?

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers show that Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) has been behaving strangely recently, entirely changing his identity and evidently falling for inmate Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown). But we can’t figure out why for the life of us.

The most obvious answer is that Sheila is using mind control or hypnosis on Bill and making him her collaborator. While we can’t entirely rule it out because everything is possible in the world of B&B and Sheila Carter… We have another idea that could make some sense.

Bill may be playing Sheila and pretending to admire her to keep things under control. That would explain his statements to Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) about not wanting to hurt her, his emotional outbursts at Katie Logan (Heather Tom) and Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang), and his claim that he “must” to be with Sheila. He may not want to do it, but he feels obliged to.

I like this explanation over mind control or hypnosis since it doesn’t entirely damage Bill’s persona or make his quick 180 look so odd. I recognize that there is a lot that has to happen for this to happen, but the more I think about it, the more it makes sense.

Of course, Bill is unhappy with Brooke and Katie, but he never wants to see them suffer, and if anybody could hurt them, it would be Sheila. Perhaps Bill is playing into his hands, doing what he needs to do for the time being to ensure that his loved ones are not wounded, or worse, killed.

In the end, I think we are going to find out that Bill was doing this all along just to make sure that Brooke and Katie were okay. He’s the perfect inside guy, and will surely be able to overcome the irresistible charm of Sheila Carter… right?

There is a part of me that worries that if he is undercover, he could stay there too long and end up truly caring for Sheila and fall for her!
