Ridge had to see Brooke after his remarriage to Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) failed. The man did not even change out of his tuxedo, arriving at Brooke’s home like he stepped off the wedding cake that was surrounded by multiple layers of delicious deserts that went uneaten. If the delicacies were real, the cast and crew likely engaged to their off-screen delight.

Brooke left the door wide open for Ridge. She did not tell him that he had no right to ask her forgiveness, though she could have enforced that soapy rule.

Lang’s iconic character, who was smitten with Ridge from the debut year of the show, finds herself in the driver’s seat. She absolutely did not expect to be sitting there before Ridge’s sheepish return to the mansion.

But should Brooke be willing to re-enter marriage so soon after Ridge split from her and fully intended to marry Taylor?

An apology is just words at this stage of their epic relationship. Ridge needs to reach a place in his mind where he trusts Brooke and will not throw himself off-course the next time a conflict arises.
