The Bold and The Beautiful spoilers and rumors tease that Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) might overstep to keep Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) from losing Douglas Forrester (Django Ferri). Brooke has already complained about Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) being too unstable to raise his son, no one would be surprised if she made an extreme move to adopt the boy.

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – For His Own Protection?

It wouldn’t be the first time a grandmother has fought for custody of a child for the child’s own protection, or to keep the child in the family. However, Hope is already Douglas’ mother legally, and his legal guardian – that was what was on the custody papers she and Thomas signed in 2019. But now, in Brooke’s eyes at least, Thomas is trying to wrest Douglas away from the only mother he’s ever known and take sole custody; and Brooke has to stop it.

Brooke is insistent that the only way to protect Douglas from his psycho father is to take legal custody of the boy herself, and adopt him legally. She thinks she doesn’t have to prove Hope an unfit guardian to do so, only Thomas as an unfit parent.

B&B Spoilers – Brooke Forrester Has A Plan

Brooke tells Hope that she has a plan – all Hope has to do is relinquish custody of Douglas to her, until she can prove Thomas unfit in a court of law. Of course, if she makes that move, she will run afoul of not only Thomas, but Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and Eric Forrester (John McCook). Hope is desperate to hang onto her boy and here Brooke is trying to convince her that her adoption of Douglas is the only way to protect him, taking advantage? There’s no way Ridge will be pleased and Eric will back him up fully; if Brooke goes through with this, she’s cutting off her nose to spite her face.

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Not Your Child!

Brooke apparently thinks because she’s still legally married to Ridge, she can overstep in an extreme way to keep Douglas as a Logan, not a Forrester. Brooke hasn’t even seen her own youngest son in years, having shipped him off to boarding school instead of raising him herself. Thomas will have a valid point when he brings that up in court if Brooke really does go through with this desperate move.

After all, Thomas’s situation and his mental health has improved, and he can prove he’ll be a fit and loving custodial parent to Douglas. Neither Brooke nor Ridge can say the same of their care of their younger son they haven’t seen in years.
