We predict that this chaotic situation could turn into a custody feud over the baby because Steffy has tried to tell Carter she can’t just hand over her biological child like a loaf of sourdough.

As fans saw when Steffy rejected Carter’s wild baby scheme, she wasn’t exactly thrilled about his plan to begin with.

Carter should’ve listened, but he’s so terrified of his cheating scandal that he’s not thinking clearly.

Carter is only thinking of himself right now, and he will probably pay the price since Steffy is not one to be tampered with.

However, if Steffy is right that the babe is Carter’s baby, we suspect a custody conflict could break out.

There is also the possibility that Finn could turn out to be the baby’s biological father, which would make this whole mess even worse.

It may be that Steffy refuses to honor the surrogacy agreement, but that means admitting the truth, which could endanger Carter and Steffy’s marriages, let alone trigger a nasty courtroom drama.
