Carter was involved with a volume of ladies in recent years. He was engaged to Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) and took her younger sister, Paris Buckingham (Diamond White), to the altar until Quinn Fuller (Rena Sofer) biked to the event, objected, and realized her relationship with him.

Now, Katie, who began consoling Carter, following Quinn’s initial path, has become his next love.

It is okay to question the logic of spending so much plot time writing Carter and Quinn together, including her stopping his wedding to Paris, and then creating an off-screen split a relatively short time later.

As devoted fans recall, Quinn was encouraged by her husband, Eric Forrester (John McCook), to tell Carter that she loved him the day he was to marry Paris. TPTB were apparently creating couple switches, as Eric’s unusual encouragement was tied to him falling back in love with Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis).

Sofer publicly announced that she was voluntarily leaving the cast in the recent past to spend more time with her daughter in the year before she will leave for school. Paris and Carter’s relationship had to end because a recast was not happening, at least not at this point, if ever.

B&B Spoilers – Carter Walton Risked His Heart Again

Carter was hurt by love and has hurt others. He was wronged by Zoe, who accepted his offer to live with him and the follow-up engagement offer in short order.

Barnes’ character never loved Carter. She saw him as a way to secure her future at Forrester Creations. Zoe proved to be more interested in Zende Forrester Dominguez (Delon de Metz), which broke Carter’s heart.

As referenced, Carter was not seriously in love with Paris. She was a second choice when Quinn decided to remain married to Eric.

Carter and Katie present an intriguing pairing. They might be a good match for each other if they give themselves time to grow and put all past romances and the baggage left from them aside on B&B.
