Carter’s advice to Thomas was wise. He advised him to avoid a court battle by not provoking Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle).
Thomas intends no harm but does want to be a full-time father to his son, Douglas Forrester (Django Ferri). So, unless Hope gives into Thomas’ intent, legal conflict is projected this fall on B&B.
The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – What About Carter Walton?
Recent news that Rena Sofer (Quinn Fuller) voluntarily was leaving the cast was disappointing. This great actor cited her desire to spend time with her daughter for the next year before she goes off to school.
Sofer’s understandable decision is a good family move. Fans of B&B also know, unless the Quinn character is recast, Carter will be without his new love.
The Quinn-Carter storyline was equally unexpected and compelling. Both actors delivered such believable performances in a well-written arc that seemed to just restart. Instead, it may be over unless a long-distance relationship, with Quinn being off-screen, comes next.
B&B Spoilers – Thomas Forrester Believes He Is Better
Thomas has steadied himself within the last six-plus months. But his pattern is to go off the rails sporadically, making Hope’s trepidation about ceding dominant custody a mature response.
Hope is actually exhibiting the protective traits that Thomas recognized in her when he first asked Noelle’s character to take charge. As devoted fans recall, Thomas realized that Douglas was better off living with Hope.
Thomas eventually admitted that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) stepped up for Douglas, which was a watershed moment for both men, who were often at odds. While not overlooking all that happened, Liam felt that Thomas had grown as a man and a father.
However, Hope and Liam feel that Thomas does not appreciate what they represent in Douglas’ life by wanting to take control of him.
The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Hope Spencer Must Stand Strong
Hope has allowed Thomas to manipulate her in recent years. But she realizes that outcome can not happen now, as Douglas’ welfare is most important.
Thomas’ ask of Carter implies that Atkinson’s character is trying to approach the matter delicately. He cares about Hope and wants her to remain a meaningful and regular part of Douglas’ life. Hopefully, cooler heads prevail so Douglas can spend time with his biological father, adoptive mother, and stepfather. A compromise is still possible at this point in the plot.
