The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) felt compelled to bend to Grace Buckingham’s (Cassandra Creech) demand. He told Paris Buckingham (Diamond White) that, while he loves her, she should accept Zende Forrester Dominguez’ (Delon de Metz) marriage proposal when he asks.
That reversal took place within a matter of minutes in Carter’s bachelor condo. He and Paris were romantically connecting when Grace began incessantly banging on his door. Paris, in not knowing about the recent threat her mother made to Carter, thought that she could handle her mom. Nope.
The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Grace Buckingham Is Overprotective?
It is subjective for anyone to take a strong stand on whether another person is too protective of their child. Grace knows Paris better than anyone alive.
Since Paris’ father, Reese Buckingham (Wayne Brady), is in jail, the burden of guidance rests fully with Grace. She moved to Los Angeles, California to help Paris, which is what the directive to Carter represents.
B&B Spoilers – Carter Walton’s Stance Is Questionable
It can be reasonably asserted that Carter gave in to Grace’s pressure tactics because he remains insecure. The hit that Saint-Victor’s character took to his personal and professional reputation was fierce.
Carter was thrown off-course emotionally when Grace’s older daughter agreed to become engaged while continuing to chase Zende. Of course, Zende was not interested in Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) by that point in the plot.
Still reeling from the engagement failure, Carter was drawn to Quinn Fuller (Rena Sofer). That connection proved disastrous, but thankfully Eric Forrester (John McCook) was extremely understanding, and Ridge Forrester’s (Thorsten Kaye) friendship remained intact.
However, it is still questionable for B&B’s writing staff to have Carter cave so easily. He and Paris are both single, as White’s character reinforced to no avail. Thinking that the Forrester’s would turn against Carter because he is falling in love with Paris feels thin.

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Paris Buckingham Can Not Be Pushed Into Marriage
Grace loves her daughter. But pushing Paris into a marriage with Zende seems destined to produce a union that does not last.
Paris is not going to get over Carter because her mom tells her to do so. And Carter can not shut his feelings off, either.
Grace is likely risking a break with her daughter that might not be repairable anytime soon on B&B.

I cannot handle that woman. Paris needs to grow a backbone and tell her to stay out of her life decisions from now on. Those parents are neither one any good and just cause trouble. Paris don't let her do this to you and Carter. You don't love Zende so don't marry him. That would be bad for both of you.

Exactly! Just like both of her daughters. Of course with parents like the Buckingham's, you can understand why both Zoe and Paris are as screwed up and needy as they are.
