After a failed reunion with his daughter, Hope Logan Spencer (Annika Noelle), Deacon accepted Sheila Carter’s (Kimberlin Brown) offer to join forces. During an interview, Kanan explained the character, including Deacon’s “weird” code of ethics.

B&B spoilers reveal that Deacon has returned to the CBS soap after serving time in prison. When Hope was falsely told that her baby died, she began thinking about her father and writing him in prison. Then, it was time for Deacon to be released and Hope decided she wanted a reunion with him. However, it didn’t go as planned and now we are seeing Deacon working with Sheila.

B&B Spoilers – Good Intentions

Even though Deacon has done some bad things in the past and literally just got out of prison, he has good intentions with Hope. Deacon was being given a chance by Hope to prove that. However, Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang), Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) simply will not allow it. Even though they all have good intentions, Deacon also has good intentions.

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers reveal that Deacon has a “weird code of ethics.” Kanan explained the character during an interview published in the new issue of Soap Opera Digest.

“He’s complex because on one level, he really wants to do the right thing and has always wanted to be accepted in mainstream society and yet, because he has made mistakes throughout his life, he always finds himself relegated to situations that require him to come in through the back door, under the radar, and not in a way that that is always acceptable and aboveboard. He’s not a malevolent villain. He’s a guy who has his own weird code of ethics and honor…”

Kanan added that even though Deacon tries to do things the right way, it never quite works out that way. It’s that nobody will ever get him a chance or make it easy for him. So then, Deacon feels backed into a corner where he has to do things the wrong way because nobody lets him do it the right way. That pretty much explains Deacon’s decision to partner with Sheila despite his good intentions.
