Many pet lovers will be able to relate to what Denise Richards is going through as she returns home from overseas to bad news.
Denise Richards, who plays Shauna Fulton on “The Bold and the Beautiful,” is in mourning. She returned to the US from a project she was filming in Spain to find her beloved dog Louie was about to pass away. Many of us can easily relate to how she is feeling – it is like losing a member of the family.

As reported on Celebrating the Soaps, Denise Richards is currently taking a break from “B&B” and recently flew to Madrid for the filming of a new series created by Alejandro Guillermo Roemmers and directed by Jose Luis Moreno.
It was on returning home from Spain that she got the bad news. Louie had managed to hang on until she got home, but her beloved dog passed away soon after. Richards said in a post on Instagram that she was glad Louie had managed to hang on until she got home, as she had the chance to say goodbye to him.

B&B News – ‘Funniest and most animated furry baby’
In her post on Instagram, Denise wrote they had done everything they could for Louie, but it was his time to “cross the rainbow bridge.” Saying how much he was loved and would be missed, Richards said he was “one of the funniest and most animated furry babies.” She said Louie will now be with some of his past siblings and his nana (her mom). She thanked him for his unconditional love and “effervescent beautiful spirit.” Richards also noted that she had taken him in as a rescue ten years ago.

Denise is well known for her love of animals. In fact, she has converted the garage at her home into a dog bedroom for the many four-legged pals she fosters. Richards works with a number of support organizations for dogs, one of which is Best Friends Animal Society’s program, Pup my Ride.
Friends, family, and co-stars are supporting Denise in her loss, with Katrina Bowden (Flo) commenting on her loss, saying Louie was lucky to have Denise as a mother and sending love to the whole family. Darin Brooks (Wyatt) and his wife Kelly Kruger (“The Young and the Restless”) are also pet lovers and sent their love and condolences, saying they know her pain so well.

Denise Richards,,so sorry to hear about your furbaby Louie.. understand your feelings right now..for have lost two furbabies that i had for many years too,,Fluffy was 15 yrs old and Slick was 14 years old..both left from natural causes..but it still hurt like crazy..prayers for you my dear
