B&B spoilers reveal that Diamond’s mother told her that Oprah Winfrey was her godmother. As a child, she believed what her mother said. Well, Oprah was not Diamond’s godmother. However, she could never have imagined that an 8-year-old Diamond would actually meet Oprah and reveal that she was her godmother!

In the new issue of Soap Opera Digest, Diamond explained what happened when she met Oprah. Still just a young girl, Diamond excitedly ran up to her and explained that she was her godmother. Oprah seemed a bit confused and taken aback. She simply stated that she had no idea. Then, she did something that affected Diamond forever… and gave her the acting bug.

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Diamond White Gets Celebrity Hug

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers reveal that Oprah actually hugged the little girl. Diamond told the publication about the experience when she was just 8 years of age, “… I ran up to Oprah and I was like, ‘Did you know that you were my godmother?’ and she goes, ‘Oh, I didn’t know’ and then she grabbed me and hugged me and we took a photo together. It was amazing. That was when I caught the [acting] bug for wanting to try and do this for the rest of my life — and I thought, ‘I have Oprah as my godmother, so I’m just gonna go ahead and go with it [Laughs]!”

B&B Spoilers – Grandfather’s Role

Diamond also explained that she wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for her grandfather. Living in Michigan, there weren’t a lot of opportunities for a young Diamond to get into singing or acting. However, both her mother and grandfather made sure to take advantage of the opportunities that were available. One time, Diamond’s grandfather even drove Diamond all the way to New York so she could audition. She said of the man, who died in 2019, that she never would have auditioned for anything if it weren’t for him. It was in New York that Diamond auditioned and was cast in the Chicago production, “The Color Purple.”
