The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers: Douglas Forced To Choose; Wants Thomas And Hope Together?

The Bold And The Beautiful The Bold and The Beautiful spoilers and rumors tease that Douglas Forrester (Django Ferri) will be forced to choose when it comes to which parent he wants to live with. Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) and Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) will be thrown when he might say wants them together with the three as a family.

Thomas hasn’t had Douglas living with him full time for years, because of some of the emotional and psychological issues he’s suffered from in the past. But now, after much therapy and understanding, Thomas has moved past those turbulent times and found healing. Now he wants to step up and be the father he knows his son needs, and that includes providing his home and raising and caring for him.

The more time that Douglas spends with his dad, the more he wants the same thing – to be with his dad living with him in the same house. But that doesn’t mean that Douglas doesn’t want a mom in the family too, with Hope having been his mom in every way that counts for the last several years.

BOLD Spoilers – Thomas Forrester’s Baby Mama Died

Viewers should recall that Thomas’ baby mama and Douglas’ mom Caroline Spencer ll (Linsey Godfrey) died of a blood clot when Douglas was just a baby. Douglas doesn’t even remember Caroline and when Thomas returned with his baby son to LA and started dating Hope, she stepped up to be Douglas’ mother figure.

Even after Thomas went off the rails and became obsessed with Hope she remained Douglas’ mother in a very real way, having adopted him legally by that time. It was Douglas who recognized Baby Beth Spencer (River Davison) when Hope was told she died, his aunt Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline Macinnes Wood) having adopted her through an adoption scheme. Douglas is attached to Beth but not nearly as much as he is to Hope and he knows Beth comes with the Hope package.

Thomas tells Hope that he wants Douglas back, but Hope is afraid it means she’ll lose Douglas, even if that isn’t Thomas’ intention. Thomas thinks they can share custody with Douglas staying with him for planned periods of time and with her for planned periods of time. In other words, like a normal pair of parents co-parenting a child when divorced, but with one important thing that most divorced parents wouldn’t do; ask the child to choose.

Thomas moved past his obsession with Hope long ago and the two remain close friends; they’re both blindsided by Douglas’ answer. He wants Thomas, Hope, Beth and him to live together like a family and doesn’t include Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton)!
