The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Eric Forrester (John McCook) decided to do more than be Katie Logan Spencer’s (Heather Tom) mentor. He wants to help her build Logan from the ground up.

However, that reveal will do more than set Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) off. Gaining that knowledge would allow Forrester Creations to prepare a response.

The smart play will be to keep Eric’s involvement under wraps, allowing him not only to guide Katie but also to help her make the many important decisions that a burgeoning business in this highly competitive industry needs to make. Plus, she will have Eric’s newest designs, which Brooke and Ridge haven’t seen.

Surprise Is Key In Gaining A Logan Advantage

As Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) should know, business plans, especially surprises, aren’t shared with the competition.

So, his renewed wife was right to rebuke him when Bill said that he wanted to blast news about Eric joining Logan through the media.

Katie wants to keep Eric’s stunning choice quiet. He also told her that’s how he plans to proceed, believing that Ridge and Brooke will be told when the time is right.

Viewers know that no time will ever be right. So, Eric basically wants to see how things flow, as he confided in Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis), before FC learns what he’s doing.

That path would also allow Eric the right to keep his association with Katie’s new fashion house forever concealed, or so he seems to suppose.

Brooke Logan Forrester Wants Peace

Brooke was being serious when she went back to Logan and told her younger sister that she wanted to make peace.

Of course, Lang’s character had no idea that Eric had already agreed to verbal terms on a contract with Katie. Like Ridge, Brooke is severely underestimating her sister’s ability to succeed.

She doesn’t want to see Katie fail and said so directly, which was a partial wink at the daytime-nightmare Tom’s character recently had.

Eric will need to be very discreet, rather than being seen at Logan’s offices, if he intends to keep Brooke and Ridge in the dark. An early reveal of this development would preclude this element of the storyline from playing out.

Katie Logan Spencer Gains A Major Advantage

Having a lead designer is obviously key. So, the recent conversation she had with Deke Sharpe (Harrison Cone) at Il Giardino wasn’t intended to have him become the frontman for Logan.

As viewers learned through her subsequent conversations with Bill, Eric is the lead designer, and Deke will be on the team. The man who gave Katie this opportunity was thrilled to learn that FC’s co-founder was on board.

This is a true game-changer. But the fans are set because another classic family faceoff is ahead between the Forresters, Logans, and Spencers. Great soap is ahead.
