The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers: Eric Forrester Showing First Signs Of Dementia?

Eric Forrester is unpredictable these days on The Bold and the Beautiful, and some might even say his age is catching up to him. 

Ridge Forrester might have spoken a horrible reality in to existence with his ailing father.  Fans have speculated online for months that John McCook’s character is showing signs of dementia, and that might be true.

Eric Forrester Is Acting Out Of Character

Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) has been running around like a chicken with her head cut off trying to keep track of her husband these days. 

Apparently that’s why we never see her on the soap, babysitting Eric Forrester (John McCook) is starting to be a full-time job.  

The patriarch was clearly triggered by his son’s impromptu retirement party, and now he’s on a mission to prove his worth at the family company. 

B&B rumors hint that Eric’s behavior could be the result of getting a devastating diagnosis recently.  If the Forrester patriarch just learned that his memory is going, that would definitely explain his sudden need to launch more of his work.  

Another Tell-Tale Sign

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers are teasing a dark depression in Eric’s near future, recent previews show the fashion mogul questioning the point of living any more. 

That’s pretty dark for daytime TV, but one of the first signs of dementia in elderly people is a deep depression. 

It’s unclear if the patients become depressed because their memories are slipping away, or if the depressive state is an actual symptom of dementia.  But, they usually go hand-in-hand and that could be what’s going on with Eric Forrester.
