The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Douglas Forrester’s (Henry Samiri) custody sitch is one of the hottest storylines trending on the CBS soap, the other being Sheila Carter’s (Kimberlin Brown) nine lives/nine toes. In case you missed it, Douglas was asked this week to choose his forever parent and he rejected both in favor of Aunt Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).
That the judge would allow a grade schooler to forge his destiny in such a way is mind boggling, and Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) and Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) were left gobsmacked. The fans are venting spleen on socials and there’s a strong demand that the show rectify this situation by bringing back Douglas’ bio mom, the presumed dead Caroline Spencer, last played by Days of Our Lives’ Linsey Godfrey.

Caroline is dead, as in soap dead, which means that just like Sheila and countless others, she could just be cooling her jets somewhere waiting for the most opportune moment to pop back up. With Linsey on DOOL, the show would need to recast the role, IF it chose to go there, and this is just speculation on the fans’ part right now.

But soaps listen to fans, as in the case of ABC’s General Hospital who unwisely chose to kill off uber popular character Liz Webber (Rebecca Herbst) several years back. Fan outrage was so hot the show reversed course and Liz is still on the show. Score one for the fans.

Several names to play Caroline have been bandied about online, with ironically, two former DOOL actress who played the same role being mentioned out in front. Kate Mansi and Marci Miller both played the now dead Abigail DiMera, so technically they are available to play Caroline. Remember this is all conjecture and wishful thinking at this point, none of the parties mentioned have indicated that Caroline will return.
But it makes sense given how wrong the story of her boy Douglas is going. Tell us B&B fans, do you want Caroline to be recast and if so do you have an actress in mind to play her? Tell us what you think about this compelling line of thought!

Yes! I’ve been saying to bring her back … with a storyline that puts Thomas away for a very long time .. like lying about her death and having her locked away or committed somewhere so he could manipulate getting g Hope back .. and while you’re at it, have another storyline coming out that Bill Spenser is actually Kelly’s bio father – not Liam.
No I don’t need another back from the dead person. What Thomas needs is a new love interest other than Hope. If Steffy can get Fin and get over Liam then let Thomas have the same. Plus, a new love interest for Thomas will make Hope jealous. We all know she enjoys using Thomas feelings for her against him.
Bring Linsey back, I always thought that Thomas had killed her so he could have Douglas to himself as a way to get to Hope…
Yes bring Caroline back… it’ll make for a fantastic story line and to watch Thomas squirm would be awesome…lol. It could also lead into another story line where it reveals Ridge is actually Douglas’s real father not Thomas.
