The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers: Finn’s Desperate Escape Plan

The Bold And The Beautiful: John Finn Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) The Bold and The Beautiful spoilers and updates tease in this week’s Soap Opera Digest that John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) has a desperate escape plan. He’ll do anything to get away from his psycho birth mother Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) and reunited with his wife, Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline Macinnes Wood).

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Button Pushing

Finn has observed Sheila enough that he pretty much knows what makes her tick; he knows how to push her buttons and he’s risking her seeing through him. But he knows that if he is going to escape, he has to fight fire with fire; he continues to put guilt trips on her. Finn tells his birth mother if she really loved him as much as she claims to, she would let him go and return to his family.

Finn also challenges her, doubling down on a bet that she would never hurt him like she did before.  According to The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers, Finn also tries to help Sheila realize there is no endgame here – and that she really hasn’t thought this through to the end.

BOLD Spoilers – Prove It To Me, “Mom”

Finn wants Sheila to prove to him that she loves him as much as she claims she does; he still doesn’t acknowledge her as “mom”. But if it gets her to let him go then he will, as difficult as the term is for him to use in relation to her. Finn keeps working on Sheila and challenging her to prove her love for him by doing what will make him happy, which means letting him go and setting him free. Finn is learning to be nearly as much a manipulator as Sheila is, trying to manipulate her, but unfortunately, it doesn’t work. Sheila realizes that Finn is turning her tricks around and aiming them at her, and she sees through it.

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Inherited Plotting And Manipulation

Finn may not acknowledge anything other than an egg donor in his birth mother, but it would seem that he’s inherited some of her plotting and manipulation skills. It’s like a game of cat and mouse as Finn tries to out-plot and out-manipulate Sheila. Finally he intentionally tries to hurt her emotionally, knowing it’s her kryptonite and blasts her for being toxic and ruining everything she touches, including their relationship.

That tactic gets to her, and she tries to reason with Finn and validate everything she’s done wrong, and now he’s using it on her. Finn is in effect using the manipulative mother’s trick of saying to an unruly child, proving she got one just like her.

BOLD Spoilers – Guilt Trips And Prison Trips

Finn continues his argument, putting guilt trips on Sheila and telling them she’ll go to prison and she’ll never be his mother. He knows he’s getting somewhere by her scary reactions, and he just continues to throw the truth bombs in her face. Finn continues to argue and try to wear Sheila down, and telling her to take him to Steffy and his family. Sheila indeed is wearing down, knowing she can’t keep him alive if he takes a turn for the worse. She really doesn’t know what she’s doing and it starts to get to her; she realizes he is bent on getting to his family and willing to die trying.
