From stepping into the shoes of Victoria Newman on The Young and the Restless to turning into Kelly Cramer on One Life to Live and All My Children, Heather knows how to become a believable soap opera character. 

After winning six Daytime Emmy Awards, Tom might easily have become one of those stars who just phone in their roles.

But instead, Heather has gifted The Bold And The Beautiful fans with a multi-dimensional depiction of her character, Katie Logan.

Heather Tom Recalls History With Sheila Actress

As a result of her roles on various soap operas, Heather knows a long list of stars on different shows.

And in true “six degrees of separation” style, Tom already has a history with the actress who currently plays Sheila on The Bold And The Beautiful, Kimberlin Brown.

Both Tom and Brown starred on The Young And The Restless in the past decade.

Because Heather couldn’t drive yet, Kimberlin would pick her up at her home at 6 am each morning, reported Soap Hub.

“We would carpool,” Tom recalled. “Kimberlin would pick me up at my house at 6 o’clock in the morning and then drive me to work and then drive me home at night. I adore her and would love to be in a story with her.”

Reflecting on her current role as Katie Logan, Heather admits that her character sees Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) as a potentially deadly woman.

That perspective results from Sheila shooting Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) many years ago.

And although Katie didn’t appear at the time, she now knows all too well Sheila’s potential power.

As a result of Katie’s knowledge about what’s happened in the past, she also doesn’t trust Quinn (Rena Sofer).

“[Katie] definitely has a history with Sheila that is different than her history with Quinn, but I don’t think there’s any love lost between Katie and Quinn,” pointed out Heather Tom. 

The actress defended her characterization of Katie’s and Quinn’s relationship by looking at how Quinn has treated two other characters.

Quinn has shown her nasty side in her treatment of Brooke Logan and Eric Forrester (John McCook). Given that Katie adores both Brooke and Eric, we can understand why she might want to steer clear of Quinn!

As for what might happen if Katie did meet up with Quinn and/or Sheila?

“I don’t think Katie is a fan of [Quinn’s or Sheila’s] by any stretch. If they got together, it’d be fireworks. It’d be fun,” predicted Heather.
