Original Intentions

B&B spoilers previously stated Hope would try and get custody of Douglas. As fans recall, Hope and Thomas faced off and manipulated each other in order to get what they wanted. However, they would end up coming to an interesting agreement due to the strange adoption and custody laws in California.

B&B Spoilers: Co-Parenting Agreement

California law stated that Hope could legally adopt Douglas and become his legal mother. She could do this without taking Thomas away as his biological and legal father. However, it was only a matter of time before this situation got complicated.

Not only did it drive Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) away, but Thomas is back to using the little boy in another cruel scheme.

Thomas Forrester’s New Plan

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers reveal Thomas plans on using the little boy’s fear to his advantage. He isn’t even thinking about his son’s well-being. He is basically terrorizing the child in order to get his way. However, things might end up going very badly for Thomas because Hope isn’t going to jump into his arms like he thinks.

She has the law on her side and as Douglas’ adoptive mother, it makes it easier for her to do what is best for Douglas.

The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Custody Battle Begins

Soap Opera Digest teased that in two weeks, a custody battle will begin. This must be how Liam and Hope get back together since Thomas was their core issue.

It is also a continuation of the adoption storyline from months ago. As fans may recall, Hope talked to an adoption lawyer, who told her that if she becomes Douglas’ adoptive mother and co-parents now, it would make it easier to get sole custody later. It appears that Thomas is headed for trouble and due to his obsession, he could lose his son forever.
