Considering her mother’s notorious history, specifically with Steffy’s father and grandmother, among others, Hope’s actions are ridiculous.

Finn has every right to be outraged. Telling Steffy is also correct, as it prevents the Forrester-Logan battles from going beyond what will already be a problem.

Finn knows that his openness to his birth mother hurt Steffy. This is hardly a standard mother-in-law scenario, with Sheila Carter’s (Kimberlin Brown) criminal rap sheet overriding typical family concerns.

So, in light of cutting Sheila off, Finn is not about to withhold Hope’s kiss from Steffy. He wanted to tell her first thing in the morning, the day after Brooke’s Bedroom party kiss happened. But Steffy’s need to get to work delayed that complicated conversation.

Viewers know the break also enabled this conflict to be stretched from one week to the next. That didn’t matter, as Finn tells Steffy, which leads to Wood’s character confronting Hope at Forrester Creations.

By kissing Finn, Hope gives Steffy significant leverage. The co-head of FC can relay what happened to her dad and others. Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) will be far less inclined to give Hope leeway now.

Hope’s mother, Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang), has been concerned about this fixation for months. Even she will have a hard time defending Hope now.

Mixing business and personal lives is the hallmark of B&B. Hope’s mistake seems likely to cost her gravely at work and in her personal life.
