Brooke is strongly encouraging Liam to keep the pressure on Hope. Lang’s character believes that Hope just needs reassurance and can’t be allowed to go too long without Liam in her daily life.
Yes, Brooke sees Thomas as a real threat to become her daughter’s next love interest. There is still a long way to go in order for that to happen, but it’s no longer unbelievable.

Liam has either discounted Thomas or projected paranoia onto him. There’s no doubt that Clifton’s character has every right to be defensive when Thomas is around or when he’s not.
Keeping Beth Spencer’s (Madeline Valdez and River Davidson) existence a secret, when Reese Buckingham (Wayne Brady) led Liam and Hope to believe that she was dead, was wrong. Thomas naturally felt everyone’s wrath when that secret was revealed.
So, after much storyline time has passed, The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Liam will be surprised that Hope is actually vulnerable to Atkinson’s character. As a result, he’ll have another reason to not give up.

Hope isn’t sure what she wants at this point in the plot. Her head is spinning because of what Liam has done, not because of Thomas’ past transgressions.
The Bold and the Beautiful rumors and spoilers hint Hope could be entering a period where she will go back and forth between Liam and Thomas, which is what Clifton’s character did when he vacillated between Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Noelle’s character.
Brooke thinks she knows what’s best for her daughter. Liam believes he has Hope’s best interests in mind. Hope is aware of those opinions and will make up her own mind, probably commiserating with Thomas as she does.
