The Bold and The Beautiful executive producer, Brad Bell, teased this summer that he was going to have a storyline for the mannequins in Los Angeles, but most of us couldn’t imagine where the story was going when Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) stole a box from the office.
The Fake Hope Doll was a refreshing new storyline for The Bold and The Beautiful this year. Although, the soap did somewhat put some focus on Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton)’s relationships. And, how many times can fans really deal with his breaking up/getting back together with Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) storylines? The Fake Hope Doll showed fans what a tremendous actor Matthew Atkinson is, who portrays Thomas Forrester.
The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Thomas Forrester Is The New BB Man Who Fans Love
Before the Fake Hope Doll storyline many viewers thought that Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) was super creepy and manipulative, no fan favorite here! In interviews Matthew always came off as nothing like the crazy Thomas. Thankfully, Bold’s writers saw the same thing and have redeemed his character with the brain problems and Hope doll storylines.
BB Spoilers – The Fake Hope Doll Talks!
When Thomas opened up that box and we saw what was inside, I was thrilled and almost forgot I was watching The Bold and The Beautiful. It only took a day for the mannequin to be hanging out on Thomas’ couch and telling him, “I want to be with you, I know you want that, too.” I am sure not all viewers were happy about the mannequin being in the box, but giving the story some time, it progressed and showed off Matthew’s amazing acting talents.
The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Annika Noelle Deserves Praise Too
Aside from Matthew’s stellar performance in the Fake Hope Doll scenes, Annika Noelle did an amazing job portraying the Fake Hope Doll. I always thought Hope’s character was a little wishy washy and unfortunately many viewers are guilty of associating the actor’s character to being the same as the one they portray. Annika proved any doubters wrong, she can really act!
The scenes of when the mannequin was speaking looked so realistic, but then again not. Prior to assuming the role as Hope, Annika appeared in The Jersey Boys, directed by Clint Eastwood. Glad she turned to soaps, it would have been hard to fill her shoes as the Fake Hope Doll.
What do you think about Thomas making out with the Fake Hope Doll? Did you like how this storyline brought out the actor’s talents? Or, did you just find the whole storyline ridiculous and couldn’t get past the Fake Hope Doll?
