Hope’s embrace of poor soul Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) is heart-breaking. B&B viewers saw what neither character did, Thomas’ full duplicity working to maximum effect.
If Only Thomas Forrester Would Ghost Hope
Trendy terms include ghosting, which is a cheeky way of saying that someone is choosing to avoid another. But Thomas isn’t choosing to ignore Hope, instead, he’s doing the exact opposite.
In his most recent outrageous act, Thomas obtained a modern projector. He took advantage of an opportune time when Douglas was sleeping and Hope was known to be downstairs in Brooke Logan Forrester’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) gorgeous estate.
Summer Horror Flick Plays On

The fixation storyline that B&B is presenting plays like a summer horror movie. Atkinson is starring as the slanted villain, whose doom will inevitably be met.
Appearing to be more than halfway through the arc, Thomas used modern technology to project an old school specter in Douglas’ bedroom. Samiri, again playing his part perfectly, shrieked in horror. Hope ran in, Thomas entered from the shower he was pretending to take and both engaged parties comforted Caroline Spencer’s (Linsey Godfrey) son.
Thomas’ hope, that his fiance would feel compelled to marry him in order to be Douglas’ new mommy, worked. Actually, everything Thomas tries succeeds.
Hope Logan Toughen Through Perceived Tragedy

There was no way to predict what Thomas would do following the death of Emma Barber (Nia Sioux). Now that viewers have seen him emotionally manipulate his son and fiance in such a diabolical manner, it’s become fair to ask how Thomas will react to Hope the first time she truly stands up to him.
To-date, Hope has merely slowed his aggressive intentions toward her. But his full aim is to marry Miss Logan and for them to have at least one child of their own.
Nothing could be worse than the loss of Beth Spencer (Madeline Valdez and River Davidson), though B&B viewers and a handful of people, most especially including Thomas, know that ‘Lope’s’ daughter never died. However, Hope’s experience has toughened her, which likely means that she will be able to handle whatever Thomas intends to do in the future.
Target Can Become Hero
Intriguingly, Hope’s feeling that her marriage to Thomas should happen as soon as possible may be the plot pathway to the end of this storyline. The writer’s room appears to be pushing the characters Noelle and Atkinson play toward a face-off.
Showing no signs of reversing course, or even the slight awareness that what he’s doing is wrong, Thomas will only be stopped by a force that’s stronger than himself. Rather than have one of the secret-keepers become the hero, B&B can choose to have its current targeted victim, Hope, overcome Thomas’ by being the person who brings him down.
