The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers: Hope’s Desperation, Who Gets Douglas?

The Bold and The Beautiful spoilers and updates tease in this week’s Soap Opera Digest that Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) will feel desperation about Thomas Forrester’s (Matthew Atkinson) latest request. She worries over if he wants to move towards being Douglas Forrester’s (Django Ferri) sole parent instead of them co-parenting him as per their original custody agreement.

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Why Now?

Hope wonders why Thomas all of a sudden wants Douglas living with him now, when they had a good balance as co-parents. Thomas has been able to visit Douglas and take him places with him, and even a few overnight stays and all of a sudden he wants him to live with him. It’s not that he has really come out and said that he wants sole custody, although he has that right since he is Douglas’ only surviving birth parent.

But Hope is fearful that is where this request of a change to their custody agreement is going, although she is being unduly influenced by her mother. Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) has never liked Thomas and her opinion is that he will never be stable enough to be around his son unsupervised.

B & B Spoilers – Thomas Forrester Was Not Always Stable

Thomas is a much different and more stable man than he was when Douglas was little, and he did unspeakable things like show monster images in his room at night. Whether the brain aneurysm that nearly killed him and caused his break from reality a couple of years ago was there even then is unknown. He certainly hadn’t been raised to be a monster who scared his little boy on a regular basis. Since Thomas has been healed of the aneurysm and gone through a lot of psychotherapy he’s much more normal and as for Douglas, he loves being with his dad now. Thomas loves being with Douglas too and that’s why he wants him to move in with him in grandpa Eric Forrester’s (John McCook) house.

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – A Very Bad Sign

Hope receives a call from Thomas, letting her know that they are having a big Forrester family dinner to celebrate Douglas’ return to the family fold. Thomas tells Hope, he doesn’t ask her, about Douglas staying overnight at the Forrester mansion one more night, but before she can say anything, he hangs up. Hope naturally becomes upset because communication is key to co-parenting and she worries about Douglas’ well-being and safety.

This new system they haven’t even agreed on of Thomas taking Douglas out of the only home and family he’s been in recently doesn’t sit well. What if Thomas regressed and put Douglas in danger or frightened him again; Hope worries that could be a very real possibility.
