This is the reason why Eric needed Ridge “RJ” Forrester Jr.’s (Joshua Hoffman) help designing one final fashion line. However, Eric was also playing piano later that same day. Even though Eric explained it away, could he be lying about the arthritis? Is it possible that Eric’s arthritis and war with Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) is an extreme scheme to hook RJ into the fashion world?

B&B spoilers reveal that Eric has always wanted RJ to follow in his footsteps as well as his father’s. However, when RJ returned from Europe, he had no intention of getting into design.
In fact, RJ was pretty insistent that he enjoyed the freedom of being a social media influencer. Ridge did try several times to get RJ on board, but then Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) got involved.
During a recent episode, RJ helped Eric design a showstopper dress. Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis), Eric and RJ were all occupied discussing the designs.
Then, Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) walked in the door. That led to Eric dropping a bombshell on Brooke, which she will end up sharing with Ridge.

Recently, Eric keeps talking about his legacy. It sounded a lot like Eric was getting ready to retire. Then, Eric started having outbursts, mainly with Ridge.
As Eric and Ridge seemed to have a power struggle, RJ got involved. Eric told RJ that he had a diagnosis of arthritis. While that is believable, Eric couldn’t hold a pencil but could play the piano.
Eric explained it right away, saying the therapist claimed piano was good for arthritis. That might be true, but Eric wasn’t rubbing his joints or acting like someone with arthritis.
