The Bold and the Beautiful has been airing “theme weeks” since running out of new episodes. There is word that filming could begin again in June, but that is not set in stone. Recently, Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy Forrester) talked about the last time she was on set. She also speculated about how they might keep soaps safe when production resumes.

Nobody Realized Gravity of COVID-19

B&B spoilers reveal that the cast films two weeks on, then the actors get a week off. When Wood last was on set, she was about to go on her week-long break. The actress thought she would be returning to the set after that week.

Then, it was announced that filming had shut down. Wood told The Time Live that everyone expected coronavirus to only shut down filming for a few weeks. They had no idea just how long it would last and the seriousness of the situation.

B&B Spoilers: Excited To Film Again

Like many of the other cast members, Wood is excited to get back to work. She has been enjoying spending lots of time with her young son. However, she is anxious to get back to filming, even though things are going to be very different.

Possible Safety Protocols

The Bold and the Beautiful actress confessed that she doesn’t know exactly how production will change. She does realize that there will be strict protocols in place to keep everyone safe and healthy. But she doesn’t really know what to expect because nothing like this has happened before in her lifetime.

“I am kind of navigating this, so I don’t really know [what to expect]. I think behind the scenes there will be a skeleton crew or smaller crew, and I guess more organi\zed with how we shoot, with audio and directors and making sure we wash our hands and cleanliness around the studio.”

The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Creative Filming

Previously, Scott Clifton (Liam Spencer) shared on Twitter that they are really anxious to film again and tell more soapy stories. However, he says that it needs to be a safe filming environment.

He imagines that there will be small sets, fewer crew members, and getting creative with how the scenes are filmed. While they need to practice social distancing, they don’t necessarily want the characters so far apart on screen. So, that is going to be a challenge and will require creative solutions.

“And we might even have to film things a bit differently, where you know, we’re not necessarily in such close proximity [with one another] in the scenes. I assume you as our fans would understand that.”
