B&B Spoilers – Well-Intended Advice Has Limited Value

It is always easier for anyone in this version of Los Angeles, California, to tell other people how they should be living their lives. So, someone like Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) can tell Eric Forrester (John McCook) that he should take his mother, Quinn Fuller Forrester (Rena Sofer), back and then follow that by telling Katie that she should reconcile with his dad.

But the issue isn’t simply if Katie should forgive Bill. Her dilemma is the same as it has been in the past. She can forgive him whatever transgressions he’s made and then experience a period of stability. But those moments have always proven fleeting, as the incident with Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) reinforced.

B&B has surely plotted what’s coming next within an overall arc. So, if Katie and Bill reunite, then it wouldn’t be fresh to simply have Bill stray quickly again. That scenario would produce a very similar separation period.

It is possible that Katie greenlights a reconciliation and then she veers off-course. But that wouldn’t have to be a betrayal storyline, as mirroring what Bill did wouldn’t be creative.

Viewers, just like Katie, are considering what happens to Tom and Diamont’s characters if Batie reaches the end of the road? Well, that couple could always come back at some undetermined future point.

However, why not regain the great on-screen chemistry both adult actors clearly project, along with the solid work George adds? A Batie breakup seems to offer less opportunity for good soap, as opposed to a reconciliation. Start a new storyline where Katie and Billy work together toward an intriguing goal, or have them defend each other from a common enemy that would bolster their renewed bond.
