Katie and Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) have gone back and forth for years. Katie and Bill cannot stay together because of their various issues. Katie and Bill’s son is at boarding school.

Katie knows how important a mother’s love is to a child. All of the Logans were separated from their father and reunited with him later in life. Katie is behind her niece one hundred percent. Katie doesn’t believe that Hope should be cut out of her son’s life by anyone, especially Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson).

Katie has been there and seen how much Hope has helped Douglas. Thomas was incapable of raising Douglas alone after his mother died. Thomas chose Hope to be a mother to Douglas. Thomas left his son in Hope’s care for years. Thomas has been an absent father. No one in Hope’s family understands why Douglas wants to rip the child she has raised out of her arms now that he is older. Thomas is being selfish and unfair.

The Bold And The Beautiful – Katie Logan’s Family Comes First

Katie knows that siding with Hope could affect her relationship with the Forresters. Katie is close to everyone in the family, especially Eric Forrester (John McCook). Thomas is wanting to move Douglas into the Forrester home with Eric and her sister Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis). However, it is not fair to take Hope’s son from her no matter where Thomas wants to live with him.

Katie works with the Forresters too which could make for a tense working environment. However, one would think the Forresters would be appreciative of anyone looking out for their son and grandson. After all, Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) has been a grandmother to this child too. Should their side of the family not be considered?

Why should this child’s life be about the Forrester and Logan feud? Can’t everyone continue to love Douglas as they have all of his life without upsetting the dynamics of the family he has grown to love?
