Expect Barnes to last appear as Zoe in early July 2021. She is leaving daytime to head to primetime as she has been cast as a lead in FOX’s reboot of Fantasy Island.

B&B Spoilers – Zoe Buckingham Recast?

At first, it was assumed that Zoe would be written off the soap. Her biggest storylines were being involved in the baby adoption scam, her non-wedding to Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson), and she failed relationship with Carter. We also saw some tension between Zoe and her sister, Paris Buckingham (Diamond White). However, the siblings seemed to have patched things up as suddenly as they fell apart.

However, it seems that there is a chance that Zoe will be played by a new actress, based on Saint-Victor’s hint to Soap Opera Digest.

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Carter Walton’s Feelings Remain

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers reveal that Carter and Quinn have just begun having an affair. Even though the two will get closer in the next few weeks, that won’t erase Carter’s feelings for Zoe. Saint-Victor teased to the magazine,

“Things are about to get so much more complex. Carter has feelings for Zoe that are not going to go away. But as Carter gets closer to Quinn, he doesn’t know up from down anymore, and that is what is so interesting. She is the last person he should be falling for. She’s practically his arch-nemesis because of his friendship with Ridge [Forrester, Thorsten Kaye]. This just ups the stakes — and the bonds from here on out are going to get very messy.”

B&B Spoilers – Betrayal And Forgiveness?

The whole reason why Carter ended his relationship was due to Ridge exposing Zoe’s secret. While being in a relationship with Carter, she was also flirting and trying to seduce Zende Forrester (Delon de Metz). It was extremely heartbreaking and devastating for Carter. He is still dealing with the pain from the near-betrayal. So, could we see this affair as a way to hurt Zoe the way she hurt Carter? Perhaps they will end up back together in the end?

That remains to be seen but there is another issue and that’s Quinn’s relationship with Eric Forrester (John McCook). Time will tell if they can survive yet another betrayal.
