The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) did not feel she could trust her husband. What Jack Finnegan (Ted King) was revealed to have done with Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) was seen as unforgivable.

Learning that Sheila was Finn’s biological mother and that Jack fathered him unmasked the lie King’s character told decades ago. Li believed Jack’s story about Finn needing to be adopted, and never knew that Novlan’s character was his biological son until last year.

Jack thought that he could not tell Li about his affair with Sheila. He rationalized the secret because of the good life they created, with Finn being the center of their world.

But Li was part of a marriage that was based on distrust and the amorality of an adoption that facilitated the inclusion of Jack’s son into their lives. King’s character must have believed that the reveal would have caused Li to react as she did years later when the Sheila connection was unexpectedly forced out during Finn and Steffy Forrester Finnegan’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) wedding reception.

B&B Spoilers – Jack Finnegan Returns To The Scene

Jack was occasionally referenced in dialogue during a long period when he and Li were separated. Matsuda’s character told Sheila that Jack was not a part of her life.

The depth of Li’s feelings was reinforced by her keeping Finn’s existence from Jack. That is a point Finn might use as a means to help his parents reunite because Li was wrong in keeping that from him.

Yes, Jack betrayed Li. If she filed for divorce, he would have no moral standing to dispute it. But Jack deserved to know that their son was alive.

Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) has a storied history on B&B. How might Li react when she learns what he did with Steffy during the mutual one night cavort in the Forrester mansion guest house a handful of years ago?

It will be interesting to see if Diamont’s character was written into the climax of this extended story line purely as a means to push the plot. That is plausible, as his character never met Li, which allowed for Bill’s inability to recognize Li to make sense and for Liam Spencer’s (Scott Clifton) identification of her to work as well.

But the idea of Li furthering the bond with Bill also makes sense. That path can be pursued if TPTB want Finn’s mother and Bill to become B&B’s next couple.
