The Bold and The Beautiful spoilers and updates tease in this week’s Soap Opera Digest that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) explodes and slings accusations. He is sure that Thomas Forrester’s (Matthew Atkinson) reignited obsession with Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) is what’s behind his custody battle for Douglas Forrester (Django Ferri).

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Why Now?

Liam cannot understand what is prompting Thomas all of a sudden to push for changes in the custody arrangement between Liam, Hope and him. Liam includes himself even though he is not part of the arrangement, only Hope is. He knows he’s making himself look bad by stepping in where he’s really not included but is fearful Thomas’ obsession with Hope is what’s fueling it.

Liam does understand that legally, he cannot claim Douglas but yet he has been acting as a stepfather to him. What really irks Liam, however, is that Hope is invited to Thomas and Hope family time with Douglas and he’s not, which is what is fueling his suspicions.

Of course, considering the fraught history between Liam and Thomas, it devolves from a question and answer into a discussion into a confrontation. Liam doesn’t believe for a minute that it’s only about Thomas wanting to spend more time with his son, because the way he’s working it Hope spends more time there. Liam never gets an invitation to come with Hope, it’s always only Hope, and when he asks why, Thomas doesn’t have an answer. As far as Liam is concerned, Thomas is just killing two birds with one stone to draw Hope away from him.

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Why Won’t He Answer?

It’s pretty easy to imagine Liam interpreting Thomas’ lack of response as conveying guilt, and that Liam’s theory is right. But Thomas may just be choosing not to dignify such a stupid accusation with an answer, although he has caught himself thinking about past times when he and Hope were together. That was only just a very short length of time before he went south and their relationship with it.

The confrontation continues and continues to devolve, although it doesn’t wind up in a fist fight on the roof as it did once. All Thomas claims to want is more time with his son, and says Douglas wants mommy and daddy to spend time together with him, although he hasn’t said no Liam.
