Viewers know that Liam’s instinct is on target. They saw inside Thomas’ mind during the times when he was visualizing himself and Hope together.

Hope is a kind-hearted person. That is one reason why Liam worries about his wife. He knows that she is vulnerable to Thomas’ charms and manipulation.

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Hope Spencer Is Conflicted

Hope does not want Douglas Forrester (Django Ferri) to leave the cabin and move in with Thomas. Like Liam, she fears what that change could mean for the Spencers.

But Hope’s main concern is her adopted son. She knows he has been doing well during these years since she accepted legal responsibility for Thomas and Caroline Spencer’s (Linsey Godfrey) son.

However, Thomas made a skilled play by asking Hope to visit the Forrester mansion, where Douglas was having fun. How could mom tell her son he had to leave? She did not, and so he remained.

B&B Spoilers – Liam Spencer Stepping In

Liam has been serving as Douglas’ main paternal figure during his time with the Spencers at the cabin. Thomas’ son undoubtably benefitted by having Liam as a role model.

Clifton’s character was not sure the adoption pursuit was best when Hope decided to make it. He felt she was accepting a lot of responsibility and feared Thomas was using that legal angle to forge a bond with Hope.

But Liam’s perspective has changed. He is emotionally tied to Douglas and has served as a solid stepfather. So, stepping in now is a form of protection.

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Thomas Forrester Considers Legal Angle

Thomas is teased to broach the legal aspect of Doulgas’ custody with Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor). That conversation winks at Thomas either pursuing full custody or having to defend legal action that Hope may take to affirm her rights.

As viewers recall, Thomas wanted Hope to become Douglas’ adoptive mother. That effort was made as part of an attempt to form a family with Hope that never came to fruition.

Thomas has not been able to overcome Hope’s love for Liam. Thomas believes it is time for him to restore his parental rights. Whether that also leads to a battle with Hope will soon be seen on B&B.
