Hope is someone who Liam admires. Among the many attributes he loves, Liam sees her willingness to see the good in people as admirable.
But it was that trait that disturbed Liam in recent weeks, as Hope’s choice to allow Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) to work for her fashion line sparked renewed jealously. Believing that they’d reentered the old rut, Liam convinced himself that he saw Hope cheating on him with Thomas through a misconceived kiss.
It’s not that Thomas mistook something his wife was doing, or saw it wrong. Instead he didn’t see her at all, which Liam later realized to his horror.

What’s ironic is that in this particular instance Thomas actually did nothing intentionally wrong and was trying to figure out what was causing his erratic thoughts and behavior. More tellingly, he isn’t trying to use his current status to make inroads with Hope.
What projects as likely is that Thomas also won’t use what is revealed to his advantage. He doesn’t want to approach Hope with any manipulative intentions. So, when they speak, following the coming reveal, Thomas will be in the position he long wanted but now no longer desires to achieve through duplicity.
Liam will have made himself look terrible in Hope’s eyes, with Thomas becoming the sympathetic figure who is recovering from a brain injury. Liam, not Thomas, will be the actual villain.

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Liam Spencer Has No Way Up
All Liam will be able to do is allow time to pass, which will be tortuous ground to stand on in his area of beautifully sunny, wintertime California. It actually won’t matter, at first, if he’s the father of Steffy’s expected child, or not.
Steffy’s need to have a paternity test taken will either mean that she does so with Finn’s awareness, or a clandestine effort is made. But with whatever happens, Hope will know that Liam cheated and with that this part of B&B’s arc is shifting dramatically.
