He started what is a responsible trip by admitting to Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) what’s been weighing him down.

Telling Hope that he accidentally ran down Vincent Walker (Joe LoCicero) was a good first step. Next, he’ll need to confess to Deputy Chief Bradley Baker (Dan Martin).

But what telegraphs as happening in the near future doesn’t also mean that Liam will be sent to prison for years or define his father’s fate, whatever that may be.

Hope was doubly stunned when learning that Liam passed out at the scene, which revealed that Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) is the person who created the ensuing cover-up.

Bill becomes incensed whenever Liam repeats his guilty man lines. Diamont’s character can’t understand why his son doesn’t recognize that the manner in which he handled Vinny’s accident makes sense.

Dollar Bill was not about to let his flesh and blood take the rap for the accidental death of a drug dealer. And Vinny was also the man who intentionally rigged Steffy’s paternity test so that Liam would appear to be the father.

Thomas Forrester’s (Matthew Atkinson) link to Vinny further underscores why Bill has no sympathy or empathy. The business needed to be dealt with and it was. End of story or so that’s how Bill thinks he has written it.

Bill will resist Liam’s increasing efforts to come clean because legal consequences are certain for both men.

Liam eventually embraced doom after he realized what happened on Mulholland Drive. He felt it was plausible, though not certain, that the authorities would catch up with him and he’d be taken away from Hope and the children.

Rather than live with indefinite fear he’s made a decision. Tell Hope, then confess to the Deputy Chief.

Bill will try to resist Liam’s intent. But he’ll prove powerless to stop what Liam feels is inevitable and just.
