Steffy left her current husband John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) after he almost let Steam’s daughter drown, and she had to be saved by his psycho mom Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) who luckily was stalking him that day.
Finn has warned Liam to stay away from Steffy which only emboldens Liam, perhaps to the point of proposing to a married woman?

Today Liam told Steffy that if he had the chance to be with her again, he would never ever screw up as he has in the past.
Obviously Liam thinks he should have a chance with Steffy, her own marriage be darned. Right now a hurt Liam can’t see the forest for the trees, he is doing exactly what he accused Tope of doing, busting up a marriage.

He has never met an impulse he doesn’t like, so this could be a sign that he will make a huge gesture toward Steffy, such as proposing.
It wouldn’t be a stretch to believe that spontaneous Liam would even buy a ring to try and convince Steffy of his forever love.
