The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers reveal that Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) goes straight to his father with Justin Barber’s (Aaron D. Spears) discovery. However, Ridge is the one shocked when Eric Forrester (John McCook) has no intention of leaving Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer). In fact, Eric still believes the agreement is the right decision and tells Ridge to butt out.

B&B spoilers reveal that Ridge didn’t let Justin finish what he was saying before storming out of the Forrester Creations building. Ridge learned that Quinn and Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) are sleeping together again. Ridge and Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) showed up at Carter’s apartment to confront “Quarter.”

Despite Quinn and Carter’s explanation, “Bridge” didn’t believe Eric would approve of the affair, much less be the one to suggest it. So, when Ridge “exposed” Quinn, he was the one left in shock by what Eric had to say about it.

B&B Spoilers – Defending Quinn Forrester

Eric defended Quinn and told Ridge that their bedroom activities – with each other or other people – are none of his business. Eric is tired of having to explain himself and being told how to live his life. Even though Ridge tried to tell Eric that an open marriage wasn’t necessary, the Forrester patriarch insisted on standing by Quinn’s side.

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers reveal that Eric has an epiphany during the week of October 4. According to McCook’s interview with Soap Opera Digest, Eric blurts out to Ridge that he took Quinn back because he didn’t want to be alone. While that isn’t a good reason for pushing “Quarter” together or even taking a cheating spouse back, Eric stands firm in his decision. McCook said that in Eric’s mind, the agreement is not wrong and right for the circumstances.

B&B Spoilers – John McCook on Open Marriage

McCook explained the storyline and what is going through Eric’s head to the magazine. The actor said,

“… it is not a confession, because Eric doesn’t think it’s wrong – he informs his son that this was his decision. He is the one that has instigated this arrangement, and he has very good reasons for it… Eric’s reaction to Ridge is anger. He’s like, ‘How dare you come in here and rustle around in my life? I love this woman and this is what she and I have decided. This is what we are doing and this is who we are now…”
